Stainless Steel Ball
AISI 302/304/304L Stainless Steel Ball
Profile
AISI 302, 304 and 304L are austenitic stainless steels — the most widely used stainless ball grades worldwide. Non-magnetic in the annealed condition and highly resistant to a broad range of chemicals, foods and atmospheres, they are the default choice for general-purpose corrosion-resistant applications. Jiaxin supplies 302/304/304L balls from 0.3 mm to 250 mm in grades G3 to G60.

Hardness: HRC ≤ 20 (annealed, HRB 70–90); not hardenable by heat treatment.
Grade: AISI 302 / 304 / 304L, UNS S30200 / S30400 / S30403.
Sizes: 0.3 mm – 250 mm, with custom diameters available on request.
Applications: Food processing, chemical equipment, valve components, aerosol valves, sprayers, medical devices and general hardware.
Why Jiaxin 302/304 Stainless Steel Balls
Four advantages over typical 302/304 stainless steel ball suppliers.

Widest Size Range
0.3 mm miniature to 250 mm large balls — far exceeding the typical 50.8 mm limit of most suppliers.
Bearing-Grade Precision
Grades G3 to G60, significantly tighter than industry-standard G20 or grade 1000, ideal for precision bearings
30 Years, Fortune 500
Three decades of manufacturing experience, trusted by Fortune 500 oil, gas and chemical companies worldwide.
ISO Certified Quality
Every batch ships with material certificate and inspection report. Passivation and custom packaging available.
Characteristics
Key material properties that make 302/304/304L the most versatile stainless ball.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance
18–20% chromium with 8–10.5% nickel delivers excellent resistance to most foods, chemicals and atmospheres.
Non-Magnetic
The austenitic structure is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, essential for electronic and instrumentation use.

Precision Manufacturing
Available in grades G3 to G60 with good roundness, surface finish and consistent dimensional tolerances.
Hygienic & Cleanable
The smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean and sterilise, ideal for food, beverage and pharmaceutical use.
Chemistry
Reference chemical composition of AISI 302 / 304 / 304L stainless steel.
-
Carbon (C): ≤ 0.15% (302), ≤ 0.08% (304), ≤ 0.03% (304L) — low carbon avoids sensitisation
-
Chromium (Cr): 17.00 – 20.00% — forms the passive corrosion-resistant film
-
Nickel (Ni): 8.00 – 10.50% — stabilises the austenitic structure
-
Manganese (Mn): ≤ 2.00% — aids hot workability
-
Silicon (Si): ≤ 1.00% — improves oxidation resistance
-
Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.045% — kept low to avoid brittleness
-
Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.030% — controlled for cleanliness
-
Iron (Fe): Balance

Corrosion Resistance
302/304/304L balls resist most foods, beverages, organic chemicals, fresh water and atmospheric exposure. 304L adds resistance to weld sensitisation.
Not recommended for: seawater, salt spray or chloride solutions — in those conditions 316 is the correct choice.
